Instructions

Make note of all the wall outlets in the room and place your television/entertainment center (or primary focal point) on your wall of choice. Avoid placing electronics across from windows to help prevent glare on the screen.
2Bring in your sofa and place it on the wall directly across from the television. If you have a fireplace, make it a secondary focal point by placing your TV on a wall perpendicular to the fireplace.
3Place the short sofa seating (short section of sectional/love seat) perpendicular to the long sofa section and open to the room. In other words, the inside of the L-shape created by the sofa(s) should face the primary and secondary focal points.
4Place your large chair at an angle on the same wall as the long section of sofa, facing the TV (primary focal point. Place your mid-sized chair at an angle on the same wall as the primary focal point, also facing the center of the room. All seating should face the center of the room to create a conversation space. Placing a chair on the same wall as the TV will promote conversation even when the television is turned off.
5Place your low ottoman/coffee table in the opening of the sofa seating. Leave approximately 1.5 feet of space between the couch and edge of your table surface. Place side tables adjacent to sofa sections (side table placement may require adjustment in accordance with room dimensions.
