Helping your child learn is a rewarding experience. Learning is more fun than work for young children. Making an activity book for your child is a great way to help her along her educational journey.
Instructions
- 1
First get together all the supplies youll need to make the activity book. Clearing off the dinning room table or another large working area would be a good idea, so that you can lay out all of your supplies.
2Decide what you want the cover to look like. Children love bright colors, animals and large words. If you are able, draw a picture of some animals for the cover. If you dont have that kind of ability, make big, colorful letters all over the book, or write words such as "LEARN," "PLAY," "FUN" or something like that, in different areas of the page. After you have the design laid out, you can color it in with very bright colors to make it eye catching.
3The cover is done and now its time to work on the inside. You should always include a page for your child to put their name on. The first page after the cover could say This book is _______.
4There are numerous activities you can include in the book, such as puzzles, guessing games, drawing pages, matching games and coloring pages. You dont have to be an artist to draw something for your child to color in. Almost anyone can draw some type of bird or flower. For the guessing games, write your question at the top of the page then put a line underneath for your child to fill in the answer.
5Put it all together. You can either staple the pages together or get a clear plastic sleeved notebook and put them all inside. You want clear plastic on the front so your cover will show! All thats left is presenting the activity book to your child so you can both have fun while she learns.
