Calorie expenditure tables are charts that show many different kinds of activities along their left side with the calories each activity burned by weight along their top. It's a good way to see how much energy a person of a particular weight will burn when they participate in the sport or activity. The more weight an individual carries, the more calories an activity will burn for them. Read the top of the chart to know if the calories burned are calculated per hour or per half hour.

How to Use a Calorie Expenditure Table
- 1
Find the activity you wish to measure.
2Next, find your weight along the top of the chart. Most chart show the weight in five to 10 pound increments. In this case, round up or down.
3Follow the activity line across and the weight column down and read the number where the two meet. This is the approximate number of calories that activity burns per 30 or 60 minutes (or whatever increment the chart says).
